Warm, Windy and Somewhat Wet Start to the Work Week
Clusters of showers and a few embedded thunderstorms move west to east along and north of M-59 early this morning, diminishing as the morning progresses. Kids in our northern communities might need an umbrella at the bus stop. Otherwise, it's going to be a t-shirt and shorts kind of day! We are already waking up to temperatures 15 to 20 degrees warmer than yesterday morning.
SUNRISE: 6:14 AM
Showers and non-severe thunderstorms redevelop this afternoon and continue tonight mainly north of Metro Detroit as a cold front stall outs over Central Michigan. Highs today will soar to around 80 before that cold front pushes through out area into tomorrow ushering in a much colder airmass. Breezy today with wind gusts around 25 mph.
SUNSET: 8:46 PM
Showers and thunderstorms continue Tuesday, increasing in coverage toward Detroit throughout the morning. Highs tomorrow only top out in the mid-60s, so noticeably cooler than today but only a smidge below average. Turning warmer with dry weather Wednesday and Thursday as highs get back into the 70s. Another chance for rain arrives on Friday.
