After a nice day to start the weekend, we bring a more active forecast into the picture over the next few days with chances for rain showers and some thunderstorms as well.
A strong frontal boundary will remain close to the region and back into the Midwestern United States overnight Saturday night into Sunday morning. This front will not move much throughout the next few days, keeping the chance of showers and thunderstorms into the forecast. Plenty of cloud cover will stick around for Sunday, high temperatures heading for right around 80 degrees by late Sunday afternoon.
We will keep the chance of some showers and thunderstorms under the forecast overnight tonight, before drying things out before sunrise on Monday morning. Overnight lows dropping into the 60s tonight.
We will keep some sunshine into the forecast to start the day on Monday, then showers and a few thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon and evening as our cold front presses on through the region by late Monday night. High temperatures heading for the upper 70s to lower 80s by Monday afternoon.
That frontal boundary will clear the region by the time we get to Tuesday morning. Expect some cloud cover to start the day before the clouds break up for sunshine as we head into the afternoon. High temperatures heading for the middle 70s by Tuesday afternoon.
